Fundraising Co ordinator's Position Now Vacant
THANKS TO TANYA & JO FOR THE EFFORT IN ATTEMPTING SO FAR THIS SEASON TO RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR THE REDBACKS.
United Suburbs Junior Rugby League Club Inc. Dreams and wishes of our 2008 executive and Working Administration Team see The Redback players wearing new playing shirts for the 2009 season.

This is the reason that we have an aggressive fund raising plan in place for this season which needs the support of "The Redbacks" players, parents, carer's and guardian's, families and friends etc. It costs roughly $1,600.00 per set of jersey's, multiply that by at least 16 teams that we have this season and as you can see that ads up to around $25,600.00 plus. We are a long way off this target.

We will continue on with these two fund raising ventures below - The Bar Fridge and 10 Cartons of Beer Raffle and also The 250 Number Board. See the executive and / or your team manager for tickets / more tickets and or numbers in these two fund raisers.

Bar Fridge and 10 Cartons of Mid Strength Tins
Tanya and Jo will be running a Bar Fridge and 10 cartons of Beer (10 Cartons of Mid Strength Tins)Raffle - (The 10 Cartons of Mid Strength Beer have been kindly donated by "The Stuart Hotel"). Support the Stuart Hotel when you buy your beverages for home, call in and have a few drinks and / or a meal. Kids Welcome.
TEAMS WILL BE ROSTERED TO ASSIST THE REDBACKS EXECUTIVE OVER OUR HOME GAME WEEKEND AT THE T&DJRL GROUNDS ON FRIDAY 1st & SATURDAY 2nd AUGUST, 2008 WITH MANNING THE FUND RAISING STALL, MANNING THE BAR & OTHER DUTIES AND TASKS AS REQUIRED OVER THE WEEKEND.
AS SOON AS WE HAVE THE DRAW AVAILABLE FOR THE WEEKEND TEAMS WILL BE ROSTERED TO ASSIST THE EXECUTIVE AND YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED OF YOUR TIMES THAT YOUR ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED.

250 Number Board is available on training days at The Blue Room. Just $5.00 per ticket. $500.00 first prize and $100.00 2nd prize. This will be drawn as soon as all numbers are sold.

There have been some other fund raising ideas put forward.
THESE VENTURES WILL ONLY GO AHEAD IF WE HAVE PARENT SUPPORT AND / OR A CLUB VOLUNTEER NOMINATE TO BE THE REDBACKS FUND RAISING CO ORDINATOR.
A disco and movie night have been suggested - these fundraisers will need adult support for these fundraisers to be a success for the Redbacks.

NRL MONSTER RAFFLE - THE REDBACKS REQUIRE A CLUB VOLUNTEER TO COME FORWARD AND BE THE CO ORDINATOR OF THIS FANTASTIC FUND RAISING OPPORTUNITY. WE WILL BE ABLE TO BUY A COUPLE OF EXTRA SETS OF JERSEY'S AND FOOTBALLS FOR OUR TEAMS TO TRAIN AND PLAY WITH IF WE SELL ALL 1,000 TICKETS. THE REDBACKS CAN GAIN $5,000 FROM THIS RAFFLE.
