Redbacks Junior Rugby League Club

$1,000.00 worth of Team wear from Addidas from Milo

Dave submitted an application to Milo for $1,000.00 worth of Team wear from Addidas. His application was successful. LWR Sports International (Brisbane) are supplying the new shirts for the Working Administration Team to wear. (For the club volunteers that had already applied for a position before the end of February).They will be here in May.

With a mission to help people achieve success in their chosen sport, the Telstra Assistance Fund provides assistance at the most fundamental level by providing much needed equipment to sport and community clubs, right across the country. Give your club the momentum it needs to achieve greater success by applying for the Telstra Assistance Fund.

Clubs which have previously received funding from the Telstra Assistance Fund are eligible to apply again in 2008.

Dave has just completed an online application (Thursday 5th June, 2008), for equipment on offer from "The Telstra Assistance Fund". He applied for the following equipment -

14 Drink Bottles - $35.00

Corner Post Pads and Covers x 4 - $250.00

Goal Pads and Covers x 4 - $720.00

First Aid Kits x 3 - $495.00

Totalling $1,500.00.

We will find out the result of this application by mid July, 2008

What does the GCBF do?

The Fund provides one-off grants of up to $30,000 to Queensland based not-for-profit community groups. The closing dates for the grant rounds are: 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December.

Telstra Assistance Fund

We will receive the following items after another successful grant application -

Amount approved by Telstra was $1,120.00

Townsville City Council - Community Support Program

Thanks to Councillor John Robertson for approving $500.00 which has gone towards the cost of trophies and awards that were handed out at The Redbacks 2007 Junior Presentation Night.

 

Total Amount approved in grants listed above in season 2006 & season 2007 is $51,967.96

 

 

GRANT APPLICATIONS that have been submitted.
We are awaiting their outcomes.

Dave submitted a grant application to "The Gambling Community Benefit Fund" which closed on 31st March, 2008 totaling $8,144.00 (GST Included), for an Industrial BBQ and a 8 metre by 5 metre trailer to assist the club with its fund raising ventures. We should know the outcome by June, 2008. Dave received a letter from The Gambling Community Benefit Fund on the 8th July, 2008 that the application submitted was successful. They approved a total of $7,403.00. The Redbacks have to ad in $741.00 to make up the total amount of $8,144.00 asked for in the application. Great news for the future growth both on and off the field for the Redbacks.

Dave submitted an online application for 1 of the 20 SunWise Shade Tents on offer from Suncorp on the 25th March, 2008. Applications close for the Sunwise Shade Tents on the 2/5/08. These Shade Tents are worth $4,000.00 each. We have been advised we were unsuccessful with this grant application

Dave is waiting for Sport and Recreation to offer its Club Development Program which makes up to $4,000.00 available for training. More information as it becomes available.
