FIELD MANAGERS /HOME GAMES
Ref's Corner
- Rule for modify game (Bombs) most people think that a bomb is when the ball goes higher then further but that not quite right it when the player who is going to field the ball (catch it) is placed under pressure from the kicker or defence coming through and it’s not a penalty it is a play the ball from were the kick took place. If the ball is no were near a player from the non kicking team then it’s play on.
- Rule for International game (Tackle in the air) When a player from the non kicking team is trying to catch the ball from a kick in general play and he is tackle in the air while he is trying to catch the ball on the full then a penalty will be awarded on the mark but if the ball bounces first and the player jumps up for the ball and is tackle in the air it’s play on once the ball bounces there is no tackle in the air rule. This rule does not count for the kicking team.
Coach's Corner
- One of the easiest ways to prevent injury is to stretch. By warming up your muscles you make them more flexible.
- Adequate fluid intake is important; preferably, cool drinks should be taken before, during and after playing sport.
- Make certain that old injuries are adequately rehabilitated before continuing to particiapte in a sport.
- Protective equipment such as mouthguards, strapping tapes and braces, all contribute to safety.
